I arrived in Halifax in 1998 with a fresh new Bachelor of Education degree and no job prospects. After months of searching, I turned to some “retail therapy” to help lift my spirits.
That’s when I discovered that women in Halifax lacked and desperately deserved more unique local shopping experiences. Why did all my friends have to travel to Montreal, Toronto or New York to find what they were looking for?
That was it: Goodbye teaching. Hello Wildflower Clothing.
Wildflower opened its doors in the Spring of 2000 and hasn’t looked back. Through the years, I’ve worked hard to get to know my customers and of course, make new ones feel welcome.
I feel like Wildflower has grown and evolved not only with me, but with my clientele. I love assisting customers in finding the right ‘fit’ for them – it excites me. I am grateful for their loyalty and am constantly sourcing new and unique products to bring into the shop for them.
I am proud to be a local independent business owner in this great community and look forward to providing award-winning service to Haligonians for years to come.
